Process of making This Rakhi
First take the handmade paper and cut a small circle or square or any other shapes that you what. Take gems, sequins, rhinestones, and other decorative items and paste it on the handmade paper. Take a roll of ribbon of 15cm and paste the decorated handmade paper on it. Then, let the glue dry for some time. Your handmade paper rakhi is ready.

2. Sticker Rakhi

Things needed

  • Ribbon
  • Felt foam or handmade paper of 2 colors
  • Stickers of cartoons, animals, etc.
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Process of making This Rakhi
To make this rakhi, firstly take a felt foam or handmade paper in the color of your choice and cut two circles. The second circle should be slightly smaller than first one and both should be in different colors. Then, paste the small circle on top of the big one. Next, take a sticker of your choice and place it on the circle. You can decorate the circle using beads, sequins and other items also. Lastly place the circle on a ribbon and let it dry. Now, your rakhi is done.

3. Pom-Pom Rakhi

Things needed

  • Pom-Poms or wool in different colors for making pom-poms
  • Silk thread
  • Beads
  • Scissors
  • Needle

Process of making This Rakhi
For this DIY rakhi you will need pom-poms which can be easily bought from stores or you can even make some using wool of different colors and a fork. After you get the pom-poms, take the silk thread and put it through the hole of the needle. Then, slide the pom-poms through the needles. In between the pom-poms, you can also slide in some beads of different patterns and colors. When you have added the beads and the pom-poms, cut the thread and your pom-poms rakhi is prepared.

Bead Rakhi

Things Needed

  • Wooden Beads
  • Silk threads
  • Scissors
  • Needle

Process of making This Rakhi
For making this beautiful rakhi, first take few beads in the color of your choice and slide it through the thread using a needle. Between the beads, you can also slide a diamond shaped bead which will give the rakhi a precious look. At the ends of either sides of the thread, make knots. Then, add another bead on the both the sides and make another knot on both sides of the thread to keep the beads in place. There you go! Your rakhi is ready.
