Rakhi or ‘the thread of love’ is the joyous occasion to celebrate the togetherness of brothers and sisters. We all know the festival of Raksha Bandhan popularly as Rakhi because it is by tying this thread that brothers promise to protect their sisters all through their life. With regard to the undying love and care that brothers and sisters share, there is a Vietnamese saying, ‘Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet’.
